Brehm, Madelyn (Marriage - 27 Sept. 1934)
A very pretty wedding took place this Thursday morning, Sept. 27th, at eight o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. L. J. Lang reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Madelyn Brehm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brehm, became the bride of Mr. Raymond Gries, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gries. The young couple was attended by Miss Viola Gries and Mr. Vilas Gries, sister and brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in a beautiful blue crepe dress with blue hat and navy blue accessories. Her shower bouquet consisted of mixed flowers. Miss Gries was attired in a brown crepe dress with brown hat and brown accessories and her bouquet also consisted of mixed flowers.
After the wedding ceremony, a wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, covers being laid for twenty-five.
After a wedding trip, the newlyweds will be at home on the groom’s farm in the town of Hull.
Out of town people here for the wedding were Miss Leona Brehm and Clarence Smulan of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ewald and son, Dennis, of Unity.
